Cause:
When manually purging data from DCE, you have multiple options for the type of data to be deleted. It may not be clear what the alarm binary data actually is.
Resolution:
The alarm binary data is clips that are attached to the alerts (not to be confused with surveillance). You can retain alert data where you will still be able to see that there was an alert but deleting the alert binary data deletes the associated images should there be any.
