Overload on APC Surge Arrest may occur when the connected equipment's power requirements exceed the maximum power capacity of the surge protection device. Cause:
Overload on APC Surge Arrest may occur when the connected equipment's power requirements exceed the maximum power capacity of the surge protection device. Cause:
- Connecting too many high-powered devices to the surge protector.
- Power spikes or surges causing a sudden increase in power demand.
- Faulty or malfunctioning connected equipment drawing excessive power
Resolution:
- Disconnect all devices from the surge protector immediately.
- Assess the power requirements of the connected equipment and ensure they are within the surge protector's power rating.
- Inspect the surge protector for any physical damage or signs of overheating.
- Reset the surge protector by unplugging it from the power source and waiting for a few minutes before plugging it back in another known good AC outlet.
