User has configured OPCUA server is Operation Servers and when he deploys supervision project from Engineering server to Operation server, then it is observed that the OPCUA server is getting stopped. In order to run the OPCUA server again, User needs to compile the local supervision project and then restart the Connectivity Service.

This can be an issue to User that he needs to manually do these activities every time when he is doing supervision project deployment. This issue is applicable for Ecostruxure Process Expert 2021 & Ecostruxure Process Expert 2023. This issue has been fixed in Ecostruxure Process Expert 2025.

The ServerConfiguration.json file will be generated from the Data given at "Computers" i.e DNS Names & "Network Addresses" i.e IP Addresses. As Process Expert is not considering the generation of ServerConfiguration.json file, it is not filling the correct data in "Computers" & "Network Addresses". Thus while deploying, it replaces the existing ServerConfiguration.json file with wrong data and thus leads to stoppage of OPCUA server. Below is example of correct ServerConfiguration.json file.

Workaround for this issue is to fill the IP addresses in Network addresses and host names in the refinement of supervision Project as shown below.

With Normal generation from Process expert will create 127.0.0.1, 127.0.0.2, IP addresses in Network addresses in Supervision refinement and instead of them kindly give the actual IP addresses and also the Computer names as shown in the picture above as example. With this workaround, the ServerConfiguration.json file will be generated correctly when we are performing Build or Build all of the supervision project. Therefore, there will be no disturbance to OPCUA server functionality when user is deploying the supervision project to Operation server.
