How to Find the Database Server Information from Power Monitoring Expert Application Server

Issue:
If you have a distributed system (one where SQL is not installed on the same server that Power Monitoring Expert is installed on) it may become necessary to find the server that is hosting the databases for the software.

Environment:

Power Monitoring Expert Application Server
File Explorer
Control Panel

Resolution 1:

1. Use the Windows search bar and go to the Control Panel application
2. Select on the Programs option
3. Subsequently select the 'Programs and Features' option
4. Find 'Power Monitoring Expert' in the list and right click and select 'Change'
5. Click on the Reconfigure option
6. The SQL Server version should be the first page that pops up and shows the name of the database server. NOTE: DO NOT PRESS NEXT. ONCE THE INFORMATION NEEDED IS FOUND PLEASE HIT CANCEL AND EXIT THE INSTALLER AS PRESSING NEXT INITATES THE PROCESS.

Resolution 2:

1. Open File Explorer
2. Go to the path where Power Monitoring Expert was installed. It will be in a path similar to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert
3. Click on the Diagnostics Tool folder
4. Right click on the Diagnostics Tool application and run as administrator
5. Select None at the top right and stroll on the right-hand side to find the SQL Server Information check box. Check the box
6. In the bottom select the button to 'Start Analysis'.
7. Once that has completed there will be a link in the bottom to the folder where the file is saved (usually on the desktop)
8. Select the Index.html file
9. Once that is open expand on the SQL Server Information section to see the output
