How to mount a Harmony 22 mm operator push button?

1. What you need to know

Mounting a Ø22 Harmony operator takes four steps and no tools beyond a screwdriver: insert the head into the Ø22 cut-out from the front of the enclosure, push the mounting collar onto the base of the head from inside with the two arrows aligned until it clicks, tighten the grounding screw, then snap the contact blocks or light module onto the rear of the fixing collar, bottom nub first. The assembly is modular - head, fixing collar and blocks are separate parts - so the fixing collar reference must match the range: ZB4BZ009 for metal XB4, ZB5AZ009 for plastic XB5.

Safety: isolate the panel and confirm no component is energized before starting.

2. Mounting sequence for metal XB4

1. Insert the operator head from the outside into the Ø22 mm hole, bezel facing the front of the enclosure.
2. Press the fixing collar firmly onto the base of the head from inside the enclosure, with the arrow on the side of the fixing collar aligned to the arrow on the side of the head. A click confirms that the fork is seated.
3. Tighten the grounding screw once the operator is in its final position. This step applies to the metal XB4 range only.
4. Fit the contact blocks or light module: first engage the bottom plastic nub in 1 of the 3 positions of the fixing collar, then push until the metal hooks latch onto the back of the fixing base.

Points that account for most failed assemblies:

• The arrows are an orientation key, not decoration. If not aligned no possible to install.
• Complete units (XB4x, XB5x) ship head, fixing collar and block assembled, so only the panel mounting and the grounding screw remain.

3. Mounting sequence for plastic XB5

1. Insert the operator head from the outside into the Ø22 mm hole, bezel facing the front of the enclosure.
2. Screw the plastic ring nut, recommended with specific tool (ZB5AZ905),
3. Place plastic fixing collar on the correct orientation and push till metal clip inside the bezel,
4. Fit the contact blocks or light module: first engage the bottom plastic nub in 1 of the 3 positions of the fixing collar, then push until the metal hooks latch onto the back of the fixing base.

The two ranges share the cut-out, the contact blocks and the light modules. Only the heads and the fixing collar differ - and the grounding step exists on the metal range alone.
