Firmware Upgrade Options for Smart-UPS On-Line SRT, XP, and XU UPS Models
Introduction:
Smart-UPS On-Line SRT, XP and XU UPS models support user-upgradeable firmware. Firmware upgrades can provide product improvements, feature enhancements, and cybersecurity remediations throughout the product lifecycle.
Important: Schneider Electric recommends upgrading the firmware of Smart-UPS On-Line SRT, XP, and XU models only when instructed by Schneider Electric Technical Support or through an official Schneider Electric notification or firmware release communication.
Firmware upgrades are not required as part of normal operation. If you are unsure whether a firmware upgrade is appropriate for your UPS, contact Schneider Electric Technical Support for guidance.
During a firmware upgrade, battery backup is unavailable. Equipment powered by the UPS will not be protected from power failures.
