When the TwidoPort module is configured with TwidoSuite or TwidoSoft, its IP configuration is stored in the Twido PLC.
The IP configuration is therefore set in the Twido configuration and as a result, maintenance staff can replace TwidoPort modules with no need for any further configuration operations (carried out using the Plug and Play standard).
Notes:
To use this Plug and Play function, you will need TwidoSuite or TwidoSoft V3.0 or later and a PLC OS V3.0 or later.
If you have an earlier version of TwidoSoft or if the TwidoPort operates in BootP, Telnet must be used to configure TwidoPort manually.

Note: The Twido range is discontinued and the possible replacement is the Modicon M221. The software to program this new controller is the EcoStruxure Machine Expert Basic also free. The software can automatically be migrated to this new platform but check with our support center your architecture to validate the migration. You can also use our product substitution tool to help you select the replacement for the twido: https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-substitution/ |
