What does the suffix 'P2' refer to on a Square D branded pressure switch?

When looking at the Square D branded pressure switches, you may notice different suffixes on the part numbers. These refer to modifications made in the factory when manufacturing these pressure switches. The P2 suffix refers to a pulsation plug which slows the flow of fluid to the diaphragm of the pressure switch to reduce the surge rate of change. A switch with the pulsation plug installed senses change over longer intervals and does not respond to spikes.
