Can a heavy duty safety switch be bottom fed?
Issue:
Wire entry from bottom of device needs adequate space to terminate on line side lugs which are on the top of the switch

Product Line:
Heavy Duty Safety Switches

Resolution:
There is adequate space for line side conductors to enter the bottom endwall and loop up to the line side lugs. There is also adequate space for the load side conductors to loop up and exit through the top endwall. The switches cannot be back fed, however - the line side conductors may not be terminated on the load side lugs and visa versa.
The following is from Digest 176 showing relevant bending space available;
