Can the QO, 3-phase main lug ONLY (or FIXED main lug) load centers be converted to a main breaker load center?
Issue:
Product Design Features

Product Line:
QO 3phase Load Center

Resolution:
ALL of the QO, 3phase Main lug load centers are considered FIXED Main Lug and CANNOT  be converted to a standard Main Breaker.

NOTE: the only option would be to back feed a branch breaker on the interior, BUT the branch breaker is limited to 100amp MAX and a retaining bracket kit is required. The branch breaker will require 3 pole spaces on the interior. ALWAYS FOLLOW WHAT THE National Electrical Code REQUIRES FOR BACK FEEDING AND SERVICE ENTRANCE.
1) If the Load Center will NOT be used as a Service Entrance panel the retaining kit part number is PK3MB.
2) If the load center will be used as a Service Entrance Panel the retaining kit part number is PKSB3BF.
