How can we help you today?
On a 2000A QED switchboard with an I-Line section, the blanks have tamper proof screws. Can I get a tamper proof screwdriver to take these off? Why are the blanks fastened with tamper proof screws?
Issue:
Tamper proof screws on a 2000A QED switchboard with an I-Line section.

Product Environment:
I-Line

Environment:
North America Products

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:
We do not have a special screwdriver available for this purpose. The hardware is fixed with tamper proof screws because of the six disconnect rule. Service Entrance devices limit the number of disconnects to six or less. The tamper proof hardware is intended to stop customers from adding more than six disconnects to the switchboard and violating the NEC rule.
