250V fuses CANNOT be used in a 600V rated switches, Also, 600V fuses CANNOT be used in 240V rated switches. The Fuses are physically different and would not fit into the switch, so they cannot be used.
Square D offers 240V rated switches for the 250V(or 240V) rated fuses and Square D offers 600V rated switches for the 600V rated fuses. Also, the 250V rated fuses are not UL listed for use in the 600V Safety Switches and the 600V rated fuses are not UL listed for use in the 240V rated switches.
