Issue:
Is the SDSA3650 compatible with a 120/240V single-phase application?
Product Line:
Surge Protection.
Environment:
Products sold in the United States.
Cause:
Application.
Resolution:
It's advisable to use the SDSA1175 instead of the SDSA3650 because the SDSA3650 starts clamping at 510V L-N and 1020V L-L, whereas the SDSA1175 starts clamping at 150V L-N and 300V L-L. Lower clamping voltages offer better protection. The SDSA1175 is not suitable for 1 Ø, 2-wire applications; the SDSA1175T must be used instead.
