Why does an ATV320 or ATV312 operate the motor in reverse when a run forward command is given?

Verify the drive is receiving a  forward run command:

In two- wire control, LI1 is run forward.
In three- wire control, LI2 is run forward.

This can be done by monitor the logic inputs in Monitoring Menu non - I/O map - IOn - Logic Input State - LIS1 (in the ATV312 it is slightly different. SUP > LIA- > LIS).

If the correct run command is confirmed, then reverse the phasing to the motor by swapping two of the motor leads at the output of the drive, Terminals U/T1-V/T2-W/T3.

NOTE: the ATV312 when using the local keypad command has parameter to select which direction is authorized, or if both are.  By default only Forward is enabled in this configuration.

312 both directions
