What does the negative value for load mean in the System Status screen of the XW+ system control panel?

Issue:
Load shows a negative value on the System Status page of the System Control Panel (SCP).

Product Line:
Conext XW+ Inverter/Charger
Conext XW+/SW System Control Panel (SCP) (part numbers 865‑1050 / 865‑1050‑01)

Environment:
Installations that monitor/operate an XW+ system via the Conext SCP.

Cause:
In AC‑coupled configurations, PV inverters (string or micro‑inverters) connected on the backed‑up/critical‑loads subpanel can export power onto the AC bus. This creates reverse power flow from the inverter’s AC output toward its AC input / grid, which the SCP indicates as a negative load.

Resolution:
A negative load reading on the SCP is expected behavior when the XW+ is operating AC‑coupled and site generation on the subpanel is selling/exporting power (i.e., backfeeding through the inverter’s AC output). No corrective action is required unless the site design does not intend AC coupling or export. In that case, review the AC‑coupled design and settings (e.g., PV inverter placement, XW+/SCP configuration) per the AC Coupling Solutions Guide.
