Why doesn't the BMXAMO0410 report a channel fault in an open circuit condition?

Issue:

Why doesn't the BMXAMO0410 report a channel fault in an open circuit condition?

Product Line:

BMXAMO0410

Resolution:

One common reason is that the "Wiring CTRL" option box for the specific channel has not been selected. If the option is not selected the Channel Fault bit will not sense for open loop. (open ckt).
The ability to detect a broken wire (open circuit) condition is limited to current outputs. The selection is made in the BMXAMO410 configuration screen.
