Why are there no variables in my EcoStruxure Control Expert / Unity Pro Data Editor?

Issue
The Data Editor is open and all of the boxes on the right are checked and * is in the filter but no variables show up.

Product line
EcoStruxure Control Expert, Unity Pro

Resolution
There is likely a character that you cannot see in the filter line.  Both screen captures below are from the same project but the top one has a 'hidden' character or space in the filter. To the right of "Name =" Select All (CTRL+A) and Delete then add the * back in.
100883_selectall

After this if all 4 checkboxes for EDT, DDT, IODDT, and Device DDT types are selected you should now see all of your variables:
100883_data

If you are working with a M580 Safety CPU, make sure that you are in the correct Editor, there are 3 of them.

You can try resetting the projects windows by closing it, deleting its *.ztx file and then opening again.

As a last measure, you can try export to ZEF, open the ZEF rebuild and check again.
