Environment

Resolution
'OTX /Docking Forms Runtime' message is returned during startup of the Advantys Configuration
Software with the content 'A programming requirement has not been met...'

Error message

This is being returned because something on the PC is preventing the startup of a Microsoft Windows
components that Advantys needs. This could be due to a bad installation of the software, the Windows
Installer not being able to write to specific parts of the Windows registry or the component could be
missing from the operating system folders.

To resolve this:

  • Check to see if your PC has 'Windows XP, Service Pack 2'. If not, update the operating system.
  • Uninstall the software
  • Delete the install folder.
  • Reboot the PC.
  • Log into the PC as an administrator
  • Disable any antispyware, firewall or anti-virus software that could prevent the registry from being overwritten during the installation.
  • Re-install the software.
If this fails, try installing it on another PC.
