Why can I not copy/paste the Euro symbol into a DOS prompt (command line)

Trying to change the currency symbol as per the Language Support Document for ION Enterprise 6.0 returns a ? in the command (MS_Dos) window.
You try and copy/paste (or if you have the Euro key on your keyboard type) the Euro symbol returns a ? instead of . This was caused by the Euro being released after Windows XP and Server 2003 was released. Microsoft relased updates to ensure that its applications could render the symbol (ASCII is ALT+0128)

1) Go to Start> Control Panel> Regional Settings and Languages. Click on the Advanced tab and ensure that 858 is checked (you may need the windows disc)

2) Now go to Start>Run type cmd and right click on the top bar of the command window and choose properties. Now click on the Font tab and change the font from Raster to Lucida.

3) You should now be able to copy/paste or type the Euro symbol.
