The PM800 meets IEC620583 which dictates that the minimum pickup current is 5 mA. There must be a minimum of 5 milliamps current on the CT secondaries (0.1% load with a 5 amp secondary, or 0.5% load with a 1 amp secondary) for the meter to begin metering current.
