Issue
What is the purpose of exporting the Vijeo Designer target to an XML file format *.hmix?
Product Line
Vijeo Designer, Intelligent Data Services (IDS) add-on
Environment
HMI Configuration Software in Windows
Resolution
The Vijeo Designer "export target to XML file" (*.hmix file extension) function is used to perform a static import into Intelligent Data Services (IDS)
IDS requires the *.hmix extension file that comes from the XML export of the Vijeo Designer project in order for the user to set up the different traceability options based on the variables in the *.hmix file.
Intelligent Data Services (IDS) is a Traceability Add-On package for Vijeo Designer which allows compliance for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 CFR Part 11 (It requires that they implement controls, including audits, system validations, audit trails, electronic signatures, and documentation for software and systems involved in processing the electronic data that FDA predicate rules require them to maintain).
