What does the fault code EPF1 mean on the Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 drives?
Issue:
Fault code EPF1 on the Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 drives.

Product Line:
Altivar ATV61 and ATV71

Environment:
All

Cause:
Drive is powered up and now it shows an EPF1 fault.

Resolution:
EPF1 fault is an external fault.  This means there is an logic input assigned as an external fault either as an active low or active high.
If its assigned as active low the drive will trigger the EPF1 fault when the assigned logic input goes low.
If its assigned to active high the drive will trigger the EPF1 fault when the assigned logic input goes high.
To check the assignment of the logic input go into the drives menu and find the fault menu then find external fault assignment.
