Issue:
OPF2 on the ATV12 drives?
Product Line:
Altivar ATV12
Environment:
All
Cause:
Drive is trying to run the motor but is tripping on an OPF2 fault.
Resolution:
OPF2 fault means 3 output phase loss.
Meaning the Motor may not be connected to the drive so check to see if there is a output contactor wired between the drive and the motor.
Troubleshooting tips: Turn off all the power to the drive. Take an ohm meter and ohm across the T motor leads T1 T2 T3 to see what the motor winding resistance is. You should see low resistance like 2 ohms or less.
If you need to test the drive without the motor you can disconnect the motor leads, go into the FLT menu and turn off the OPL (output phase loss detection) and run the drive at 20, 40 and 60hz.
