Issue:
How to prevent random Vijeo Designer Runtime crashes?
Product Line:
Vijeo Designer Runtime for iPC or Generic PC
Resolution:
One of the main causes for random Vijeo Designer Runtime crashes or application halts on iPCs is bad SRAM (retentive) data stored in either the physical SRAM chip or simulated SRAM file (for ipcs with no SRAM chip).
To avoid these situations, it is always best to shut down the runtime properly with a switch configured with System->Operation->"Shut down Runtime".
Once this procedure is complete, it ensures runtime SRAM data is correctly written before the application is shut down.
At this point, it is safe to power down your HMI.
