Can I use 2 potentiometers in parallel to control the speed of the drive from 2 different locations?
Issue:
Is it possible to control speed of drive using 2 potentiometers in different locations?

Product Line:
All Altivar drive products.

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers

Cause:
Customer needs to be able to control the speed of the drive from 2 different locations at the same time.

Resolution:
No, this is not possible by using parallel potentiometers.  The drive will only follow a single speed reference at any given time.
The drive can be switched between two different potentiometers via a logic input but it can not follow two different potentiometers at once.
Some drives allow 2 separate analog input signals to be summed or added together to set the speed reference.
