What is the InF9 or internal error 9 on the ATV630 and ATV930 Process Drives?

Internal Fault Error (InF9) on the Altivar Process Drives?

Altivar Process Drive (ATV630, ATV930, ATV650, ATV950, ATV660, ATV960, ATV680, ATV980)

Environment:
All serial numbers for Altivar Process Drive

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:
Principle
The fault indicates that the current measurement are not correct

Probable Cause
  • Bad Current Circuit/Sensors
  • Bad Control/Power Board
Remedies
  • For customers who are not familiar with the drive please contact your local Schneider Electric Representative.
  • If those who are more familiar with the Altivar Process drive you can follow procedures below:
    • Check ribbon cable between control board and power board
    • Swap power board or control board
    • Change out current sensors
    • Replace/repair complete drive
