Issue:
Looking for a way to disable the Variable browser in Web Gate so that the values are not public when someone types the IP address of the HMI into a Web Browser.

Resolution:
There is no direct setting to turn off the variable browser in Web Gate. We only have an indirect way that will turn it off for ALL Web Gate applications. Please find the procedure below on how to disable the Variable Browser for Web Gate:
1) On the PC where Vijeo Designer is installed, navigate to the following folder:C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Vijeo-Designer 6.2\Vijeo-Runtime\Public\WebGate\system
2) In this folder, you will find two folders "Variable" and "var". Rename these two folders.
3) Re-download the application to the HMI
4) Connect to the HMI via Web Gate
5) Attempt to access the Variable Browser in Web Gate. You should now see an error that the HMI is unavailable when clicking on the variable browser.
