What is the manufacturer statement of compliance for IEEE 519 on S-Flex?
Issue:
Manufacturer statement of compliance for IEEE 519 on S-Flex.

Product Line:
Altivar 212 S-Flex

Environment:
All models

Cause:
Customer requests the manufacturer statement of compliance for IEEE 519 on S-Flex

Resolution:
The standard IEEE 519 is not related to a product, such as an Altivar drive, it’s related the quality of distribution networks.

ATV212 has a THDi less than 35%. It means, by itself, it will not comply with IEEE 519.
One solution to have a lower THDi is to use active filter such as AccuSine with an additional line choke. With this association (AccuSine + line choke + ATV212), THDi will be below 5%

But, without knowing the network characteristic (see picture below), we can’t make statement that ATV212 with the AccuSine and the line choke complies with IEEE 519.
