Issue:
What to check if the touch screen of an HMIG5U/HMIG5U2 is not responding.
Product Line:
HMIG5U, HMIG5U2, iPC
Resolution:
If the touch screen of your HMIG5U or HMG5U2 is not responding to your touch, plug in a keyboard and mouse and navigate to the Windows Services settings by typing "services" in the Start Menu.
Upon opening the Windows Component Services dialog, click on "Service (Local)" and find the "TabletPCInputService" service. Ensure that this service is setup to run Automatically and is currently running.
If the service is somehow turned off, deactivate the EWF (Enhanced Write Filter), and then set the service to run Automatically.
Reboot Windows (from the start menu) and confirm if the touch screen now works.
