Event Notification Module 8.x

*Note: This article applies to Diagnostics tab only*

Cause
By storing less events, the performance of ENM Diagnostics tab increases.

Resolution
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

By default, ENM keeps the last 1,000,000 events to be viewed in the Diagnostics tab. If this number is decreased, the performance improves.

The value is stored in:
  • PLES_Logging database
  • Config table
  • Where Module = 'DBMaintenance' AND [Key] = 'DiagnosticMax'

DB Maintenance

*Note: As of PME 2020, an updated ENM configuration was introduced. The Integrated Event Notification Module includes a new notification engine that seamlessly integrates with PME for alarm-based notification.*
