PME9.0 - Integration Utility fails to export the workstation file for Automatic Authentication and Windows Authentication

Product Line
Product Line: Power Monitoring Expert 9.0 - CU 2
___________________________________________________________________________________
Environment
Integration Utility 3.0.18215.3 (Energy Expert v2.0)
___________________________________________________________________________________
Issue
Integration Utility fails to export the workstation file for Automatic Authentication and Windows Authentication options.

The following error was seen:

"Error when trying to connect to the PME web server. Ensure the web service is correctly configured and running."

_____________________________________________________________________________________
Root Cause
When PME is configured to use HTTPS the website's server uses a certificate to prove the website's identity. The certificate issued by a CA (Certificate Authority) must be "Issued To" the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the PME server.

The Integration Utility tool has to talk to the PME Server to generate the links using the Automatic and Windows Authentication options.

This may occur when there is no valid SSL certificate or the hostname in the databases does not match with the one issue and that is being used.

_____________________________________________________________________________________
Proposed Solution
1) Download the supported Integration Utility tool [1]

2) Set IsThirdPartyAuthEnabled=True in web.config file located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\Applications\SystemDataService"

3) Update the server name with the FDQN in the database. To do so, please follow resolution 1 of the FAQ - FA365736 [2]

4) You may have to do an IIS reset and restart the ION Application Core Services
