P3 programmable delay curve
Issue
We have a programmable delay curve function in our Easergy P3 relays, which function can let customer costomize a delay curve for overcurrent and earth fault protection and so on (based on current).
But our manual didn’t explain to our customer how to calculate the delay time if the fault current is between the setting points.
Take below picture as an example, if fault current is between 1A and 4A, customer is thinking this trip delay curve is linear, so customer think if fault current is 3A, trip time should be 8s, but actually our relay will trip after 8.235s.
Customer don’t know how to calculate the trip time, so they can’t verify our protectin function on site.

Solution
1- For temporary solution, please kindly find the attached PDF provided by R&D team, we can share this calculation document to our customer.
2- For permanent solution, it will be updated to the manual in future release.
