Issue:
Why is there voltage present on the output terminals of ATS480 in RDY mode?
Product Line:
ATS480, Altivar Soft Starter ATS480
Environment:
All
Cause:
NA
Resolution:
The ATS480 units do have leakage voltage across the output of the SCRs when it is not running. If the motor is connected, this minimal power is dissipated in the motor windings and not noticed. If the motor is not electrically connected to T1T2T3, this leakage voltage has the capability to reach the full line potential.
