Issue
What is the current consumption (burden) of IRIG-B port in a PM8000, ION7400, or ION9000 meter?
Product Line
PM8000, ION7400, and ION9000 meter
Environment
IRIG-B Port
Resolution
For the ION9000, PM8000 and ION7400 meters, IRIG-B uses the onboard digital inputs. These inputs are an “active impedance” that adjusts to the applied voltage. When the voltage is >=4V it will set the active input impedance to sink about 1-2mA.
