The Modicon Edge I/O system does support Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP). Key points include:
- RSTP is enabled by default on the system.
- All nodes in an RSTP ring must support RSTP and have it enabled.
- RSTP facilitates quick reconnection during network failures.
