How is the phase rotation corrected on a drive (e.g., the motor is running backwards)?

Issue:
How can phase rotation be corrected?

Product Line:
ATV61/71

Environment:
ALL

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:
If the rotation of the motor is reverse of the desired direction it is recommended that two of the three motor leads connected to the drive output be swapped.

If there is bypass, test the rotation for bypass before changing any wiring. If the bypass was correct rotation already, make the change between the drive output and the isolation contactor. If bypass was wrong also, make the change after the contactors.

Changing rotation before a drive will not affect the output phase rotation.
