New 170FNT11001's Will Not Operate
Issue
The purpose of this Resolution is to inform users of the 170FNT11001 of a potential problem with a specific range of manufactured modules that will not work when placed on the FIPIO fieldbus network.
The symptom is the PL7 software debug screen shows the nodes are not present or different from the configuration. The LED's in the fault condition are: RUN LED on, COMM LED blinks, and ERRor LED is off.

Resolution
Approximately 700 units were manufactured with the wrong firmware installed. Affected units are 170FNT11001's with the serial number range of 210717xxxxx to 210724xxxxx.
Also reference Quality Bulletin IQ071495.
Modules within the serial number range mentioned above must be exchanged. Firmware for this communication adapter cannot be upgraded in the field.
