What is the significance of dial settings (5, 10, 20 and 30) in white colour coded part when ground fault protection is disabled?
in single adjustment dial.
The same dial can be used to set Ground Fault ON/OFF and the same time,
the trip call can also be selected by the same dial.
Setting on white side of the dial:
- Ground Fault is OFF
- The trip class can be selected from Class 5e….30e
Setting on black side of the dial:
- Ground Fault is ON
- The trip class can be selected from Class 5e….30e
Similarly, the other dial is used to set phase imbalance ON/OFF,
and the relay RESET function can be selected as Manual or Automatic.
Setting on white side of the dial:
- Phase imbalance is OFF
- The relay to be reset with MANUAL function
Setting on black side of the dial:
- Phase imbalance is ON
- The relay is reset with AUTOMATIC function
This feature helps to have multiple functions, increased flexibility and to protect motor under different fault conditions.
