How do the generator interlock kits QORBGK2, QOCGK2, HOMCGK2, and HOMRBGK2 function in the load centers?
Issue:
Product Design features
Product Line:
QO and Homeline load centers
Resolution:
The interlock kit provides a mechanical interlock bracket with a sliding arm between the QOM2-VH main breaker (utility main) and a backfed, 2 pole QO or HOM (125 A maximum) branch circuit breaker (generator main). The mechanical interlock bracket with the sliding arm will only allow either the utility main breaker or the generator main breaker to be in the 'ON' position at any time, but not both of them. The mechanical interlock bracket sliding arm manually slides between the handle of the utility main breaker and the handle of the generator main breaker, not allowing both of them to be in the ON position at the same time.
