Square D general duty, heavy duty, and double throw safety switches are available in different NEMA rated enclosures. See below the different NEMA ratings for each line of switches.
1) GDSS are ONLY available in NEMA type 1 and 3R. They are NOT available in any other NEMA Type.
2) HDSS are available in NEMA types 1, 3R, 4, 4X, 5, 12K,12, 7, and 9 for certain ampere ratings. The NEMA 4, 4X, and 5 are available in 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, fiberglass reinforced polyester, and krydon for certain ampere ranges.
3) DTSS are available in NEMA Type 1, 3R, 4, 4X, 5, and 12 for certain ampere ratings. The NEMA 4, 4X, and 5 are available in 304 stainless steel for certain ampere ratings.
