OTM is available on both HVL & HVL/cc switches..

An Over Toggle Mechanism (OTM) is a mechanism that opens and closes a device (Switch) by compressing and releasing spring energy at a certain ``over-center-toggle`` point. When the operating handle is moved toward the open or close position, the springs are compressed. They store the mechanical energy of this movement. At the ``over-center-toggle`` point, the springs release that stored energy and push or pull the switch blades closed or open.

The speed of operation after the toggle point is independent of the speed of the operator. The operating time of OTM mechanisms equipped with motor operators is approximately 5 seconds.
