Video: How do the ATV31/ATV312 logic inputs work when the VFD is in SINK mode?

Issue:
Programming and wiring logic inputs in SINK mode on Altivar 312 or Altivar 31 (ATV312/ATV31) Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).

Product Line:
ATV31 and ATV312

Environment:
All model

Cause:
Developing control scheme

Resolution:
The VFD is in sink mode when the control board DIP switch is in the SINK position.

Internally, the sinking mode connects the logic inputs to the +24V as the common.  A logic input is turned on by connecting it to the COM by means of a dry contact.

Note: When the logic inputs are configured for sink logic, grounding an input signal can result in unintended activation of drive controller functions.
