Can FA or FH breakers be used for HID lighting applications?

Product Line:
Any FA or FH frame breaker.

Resolution:
FA and FH breakers have not been tested and rated for HID lighting applications. Therefore, they are not marked "HID" as is required by the NEC for use in switching high intensity discharge loads.
PowerPacT H frame breakers (15 - 50 A) have been tested and are so marked and suitable for HID applications.
