Can a Buck-Boost Transformer be utilized on a 50hz system, even though the nameplate shows the Transformer to be rated for 60Hz?

50 Hz systems are used in many parts of the world

Resolution:
In some cases, yes.  If the induction levels of magnetic flux in the core of the Transformer resulting from the applied voltage at 50Hz do not exceed the unit`s acceptable induction levels, then it can be done.
