How can the program settings and parameters be transferred from one drive to another with an Altivar 58 drive?
Issue:
Transfering parameters from an ATV58 to another ATV58.
Resolution:
Save Parameters from the Source Drive
- Ensure the drive is not receiving a Run command.
- Verify that the keypad is unlocked.
- Navigate to Menu 7 – Files Menu.
- Select Operation Type (FOt) and press ENT.
- Select Store File (Str) and press ENT.
- Choose a file location (1–4) and press ENT.
- The display will flash while the parameters are being saved. When the process is complete, the display returns to FOt.
Load Parameters to the Target Drive
- Remove the keypad and connect it to the destination ATV58 drive.
- Confirm that the destination drive has the same horsepower (HP) rating and firmware revision as the source drive.
- Make sure the drive is not receiving a Run command.
- Go to Menu 7 – Files Menu.
- Select Operation Type (FOt) and press ENT.
- Select Recall File (rEC) and press ENT.
- Choose the same file location (1–4) used when saving the parameters and press ENT.
- When “Wiring OK?” appears, verify that loading the parameters will not create an unsafe or unexpected drive operation. If safe, press ENT.
- When “Validate ENT/ESC” appears, press ENT to confirm that you want to overwrite the existing parameters.
- After the transfer is complete, the display returns to FOt, indicating that the parameters have been successfully copied.
