Are the 8903 lighting contactors fully rated?
Resolution:
Yes. All Class 8903 Type ``S`` lighting contactors are fully rated for tungsten, ballast and resistive applications. Therefore the contactor may be used to control a load up to its full nameplate rating. Derating of the contactor is not necessary as is standard practice with circuit breakers and fuses.
