Issue:
What are the acceptable wire sizes for the Class2510 (includes Class 2511 & Class 2512) Type K switches?

Product Line:
Digest 177 Section 16 : Nema and Definite Purpose and Starters

Environment:
North American Products

Resolution:
These switches will accept 10 awg and smaller copper conductors. Additionally they will accept either solid or stranded wires. However, it strongly recommended that cable ends be used with stranded conductors to ensure proper connection of all strands. Another option would be to order the switch with factory modification Form Y7 which will provide the switch with pressure wire clamps.
