What are the universal baseplates for?

Resolution:
They are mounting plates designed to be used to retrofit Square D Class 8536 Type S (sizes 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 & 4) starters into an application which is currently using a competitive NEMA starter. It is a metal plate which attaches to the panel in the location of the starter to be replaced. The Type S starter then mounts to the baseplate. Select from the table below based on competitive starter being replaced.
