These devices are similar to the GV2 manual starters but provide magnetic protection only. The GV2L versions provide rotary style operators, where the GV2LE devices offer rocker lever operators. Basically these are magnetic circuit breakers and are typically are used ahead of a motor rated contactor and overload relay. However, they are not UL489 listed for use as circuit breakers in the United States.
