Video: Can a QOM2-VH breaker installed in a QOM22225NF, QOM22225NS or QOM22225NRB enclosure be back-fed and how does the breaker install in the enclosure?

Product Line:
QOM Circuit Breaker Enclosures

Environment:
Back feeding

Cause:
Installation

Resolution:
The QOM2 Enclosures are not marked for 'Line and Load', which means the incoming service wires can be connected to either the top lugs or the bottom lugs. What it means to 'Back-Feed' the QOM2-VH breaker
when installed in one of these enclosures, is to connect the incoming supply wires to the lugs at the bottom on the breaker, instead of to the lugs at the top of the interior. BUT the local code authority may require the installer to mark the enclosure to designate the line and load side lugs.
See the attached video for how the QOM2-VH breakers install into the QOM2 Enclosures.
MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH THE ENCLOSURE AND/OR QOM2-VH BREAKERS. NEVER WORK ON ENERGIZED EQUIPMENT.
